This year, I believe God is calling us to step into a metamorphosis of our way of thinking. One where we see everything through a lens of His Love for us. A mindset that has done away with slavery, toil and duty.
The Lord revealed to me that this mentality is based on knowing you are a member of his royal family and accepting the fact that you are loved and honored. This deep knowing of your acceptance because of who you ARE, not what you DO, will empower you to go do all the “things”.
The Lord has wonderful plans for you, but he wants you to joyfully partner with him, while knowing who you are. Not striving out of an orphan spirit, trying to earn his favor or approval.
You have a Father in heaven who dearly loves you and desires that you accomplish all things written on your scroll before time began. But He does not want you stressing over it. Stress is fear that you will miss the mark.
Rest with Him and allow His pleasure to overtake you so much that when you go about your day, you can’t help but be a blessing to someone. Joy will just radiate off you!
The Lord spoke this to me, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. I desire that your joy be full. So many in my house are toiling for me, thinking that the more miserable they are, the more pleased it will make me. It makes me happy when my children begin to realize and eat and drink from the table I have set before them, even in the presence of their enemies.”
This is about a heart attitude, as this is important to Him, and is what he sees. He wants you to drink from his joy and pleasure no matter what circumstance you are in. But doing things simply to earn his favor will not get you anywhere.
Know that he is already pleased with you! Let this simple yet powerful truth invade your being today- let it transform you from the inside out.
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Isaiah 41:13 (ESV)
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.
John 16:27 (ESV)
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
John 15:9 (ESV)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 (NASB)
