Entwined with God

Do you understand who you really are? What dwells within you? What if you understood that the very essence of your being is illuminated from the inside by the same uncreated Light that formed the universe?

When we receive Jesus as Lord, we become lit up from the inside and no longer have a human spirit but a Divinely re-created spirit, entwined with God himself. Just as two people come together to make a new baby, a new life was created when you came to Christ. A new species of being was formed.

Knowing this, is there any limit to where you can go? Do human restrictions matter anymore? What is possible?

Once you realize who you really are, old ways of darkness no longer have a grip on you. You begin to understand that as a child of the Most High, the paths of the Way, the Truth, and the Life, are what you were designed to walk upon. You are enlightened to the knowledge that you are of a higher order.

You develop a hunger for things of the Spirit, for things of your Father’s Kingdom. You now realize if you are born again from another world, your spirit hungers for nourishment from that world, the way your body hungers for food from the natural world. You are plugged into a different power source. The source of Life itself.

Knowing this, how much more important does Jesus’ command become to love others as you love yourself? If the Eternal One lives within us, are we not also loving Him by loving ourselves? Do we not also love Him by loving others, if He also dwells within them?

If our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, what care and honor should we be giving our bodies, if the Majestic One lives in us? If He has deemed us a worthy vessel to reside in, how could we ever despise what he has chosen to call home?

What if you allowed yourself to rest in this truth for a few minutes every day? Would it begin to change how you see yourself? Would it be worth it? Only you can decide.
