You Are Not Alone: Finding Comfort in Divine Love

How many times have you felt desperately alone? That no one really cares about who you are or what you do? That you don’t make a difference? I know I’ve struggled with these feelings. It can feel like an overpowering current, like wading upstream in a rushing river.

What if you could see that in the moments of your deepest loneliness- you were surrounded with an innumerable group of angelic beings and saints clothed in white- all with the brightest smiles you could ever imagine? Cheering you on if you stepped in the right direction or putting a comforting hand on your shoulder if you slipped up?

The truth is, we are not alone- we never were! You are not insignificant and forgotten. You are a redeemed and cherished Child of the Eternal King. The One who spoke all realms into existence with the vibration of his voice. You see, he always knew you and your entire life was laid out before him before you even took one breath. In fact, as He is outside of time, He sees who you’ll be as a glorified saint thousands of years from now, dwelling with him in the most magnificent realm of light.

What if you could take a few moments to think about what He sees when he looks at you? Does he see a failure? A wash-up who can never do anything right?

Or does he see a priceless gem- one that he handcrafted for his own beautiful purpose? Not an automaton for his own slave-labor, but an offspring to grow into his own glorious image. A vessel that could be a recipient of his wonderful and incomprehensibly great love to be poured into. A friend.

You are not insignificant; you are never alone, and you are loved beyond anything you can ever begin to understand!

Father, I thank you that you see me through the lens of Jesus- that you only see a purified and righteous son or daughter of God. I thank you for your beautiful love for me- a love of the ages that can never be quenched, and that I can never be removed from. I thank you that your eye is on me, and that I am never alone- and never will be. I love you. Amen.
