The Land of Abundance

Do you ever feel like you’re always on the outside looking in? Like there’s always someone else who “gets the good stuff”, but somehow you end up feeling left out? Do you struggle with seeing people have a vibrant relationship with Jesus, but maybe you don’t have it as good as they do? Like they hear God, but you don’t? Maybe they have a better destiny than you do? Maybe God doesn’t care about you as much as them?

I know I’ve felt this way. It’s an easy trap to fall into. But it couldn’t be further from the truth.

If you have children, you understand this. No matter how much you enjoy the company of one of your children, does it replace the other? Or do you have a special appreciation and love for each child?

The truth is, through Jesus, we have entered the Land of Abundance.

Abundance is security that your needs will be met. That there is no lack. That there is more than enough for you.

Here, there is an endless supply of peace, hope and love. Of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Of guidance, encouragement and healing.

Abundance means that no matter how many children the father has, there is an infinite supply of himself just for you. This washes away the fear that somehow all his love is going to get used up on someone else who you think might be more deserving than you.

All he needs is us to believe he is good, and that he wants to give good gifts to us when we seek him (Heb 11:6)! Why do we have to believe this? Our belief, our will, our intention is more powerful than we realize. If we believe he won’t give us good gifts, or that there aren’t sufficient resources for us, we are framing that reality into existence! Do you think God’s own children would lack the ability to “create”? Is a son like his father?

Your belief in God’s goodness is a gateway to abundance. The simple act of believing this is a principle which will unlock and release blessing in your life that you previously didn’t know was possible (James 1:6, Mark 11:24).

Let’s enter the Land of Abundance today. Pray this with me:

“Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, we thank you for your abundant supply that you have for us. We come into agreement that you are a good Father, and you love to give good gifts to your children, and you are a rewarder of those who diligently seek you. Please forgive us for doubting your ability to meet all our needs. We ask that you give us revelation and understanding to know what it means to be surrounded by your limitless storehouse of blessing. We thank you that you care for us. We thank you that you have already provided us with everything we need to walk out our destiny, all we need is to believe. Thank you for strengthening our belief with a deep inner knowing of this truth. And let us be overcome with a deep knowing of your ever-present love that never fails. Amen.”

  1. Been in a ‘selah’ moment for a bit on James 1. Sobering is the requirement (not an ask) of faith. I think of John 4:24, when he says ‘worshipers MUST worship in Spirit’ (again, not asking). Its the only way of the Kingdom. Outside if it.. ‘that man is unstable in ALL his ways’.. yikes! 2Cor10:5 [thought slayer :)]
